Pederson, Walker go deep for NL West rivals

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Joc Pederson hit a three-run homer against his former team and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 7-2 Saturday night for their fourth straight win.

Pederson’s 500th career RBI gave the Dodgers a 3-0 lead in the second inning off Madison Bumgarner (4-5). Christian Walker cut the deficit to 3-2 with his 11th homer in the third, but the Dodgers tacked on two more in the fourth on an RBI single by Freddie Freeman and a sacrifice fly by Will Smith.

Brandon Pfaadt (5-2) pitched six strong innings for the Dodgers, allowing two runs and five hits. He struck out eight and walked three.

Ohtani had two hits including a double stole two bases scored two runs and drove in another.

The Diamondbacks have lost four straight and are 12-23 on the road this season.
