Mavs Crush Cs in Game 4, Avoid Sweep

No Team Has Ever Come Back to Win a Series After Losing the First Three Games

38-Point Margin of Victory Third Biggest in NBA Finals History

The Dallas Mavericks kept their NBA Finals hopes alive with a dominant 126-88 victory over the Boston Celtics in Game 4 on Friday night. The Mavericks, who trailed 3-0 in the series, became the latest team to fall four games to none.

Luka Doncic led the way for Dallas with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. Kristaps Porzingis added 23 points, while Jalen Brunson chipped in with 20 points. The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum's 23 points, but no other Boston player scored more than 14 points.

The 38-point margin of victory was the third biggest in NBA Finals history, behind only the Chicago Bulls' 42-point win over the Utah Jazz in 1998 and the Celtics' 41-point win over the Los Angeles Lakers in 1985. It is also the largest margin of victory for the Mavericks in their franchise history.

The Mavericks will now head back to Boston for Game 5 on Sunday night. They will need to win that game to force a Game 6 back in Dallas. The Celtics, meanwhile, will be looking to close out the series and win their 18th NBA championship.
